From the greatest band in the world--you may recognize this little ditty as the title song from Best Picture winner THE DEPARTED--Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you: I'M SHIPPING UP TO BOSTON from the Dropkick Murphys.

It's also the defacto anthem of the Boston Red Sox, usually followed by a Yankees Suck! chant.

I f-ing love Dropkick. As a matter of fact, they are the first band I ever saw in concert. That was 2002, before they hit the mainstream with that song. Since then, I have seen them live 3-4 times. All great shows. You have no idea how excited I was when I heard that song in THE DEPARTED. I could tell from the get-go that Martin Scorsese (*ahem* America's greatest living director) had crafted something special. And when that song came up during the title...I just knew that this was going to be a great one. Boy, was I right.

By the way, on DPK's Warrior's Code album (their best album IMO--the one that features "I'm Shipping up to Boston") they have a really good cover of "Tessie" in tribute of the Red Sox winning the world series that year. If I'm not mistaken, they still play it at Fenway occasionally.

And...I wouldn't be surprised if we'll hear their music in a major movie again. The title song on the album (...Warrior's Code) is a tribute to welterweight champ Mickey Ward. Mark Wahlberg is playing Ward in an upcoming movie. Gotta put the song in there!

Not to nitpick, but I think they did the cover of Tessie at the beginning of the year the Red Sox won their first World Series. I seem to remember them playing it throughout the year. I was right according to Wikipedia(June of 2004), but also found out it's a new version which actually tells the story of the original "Royal Rooters" singing the original song.
Interesting.
Next to Dirty Water and Sweet Caroline, biggest song tied to the Red Sox.
What can I say, I'm a true Sox fan. After the World Series, during the parade they were on a float rocking out the whole time. Pretty cool.

BRING A AMBALAMPS!
[WARNING: BLOOD AND PROFANITY]

It's already on its way to full-fledged meme status, and it's easy to see why. It's got everything: conflict, explosive action, a mangling of the English language, a cool beard, more than a pinch of insanity and/or substance abuse on the part of both men, an awesome (and appropriate) T-shirt, public transportation...

And the cute brunette in the purple skirt with the headphones who stoically observes the whole thing? Apparently 4Chan has already dubbed her "Amber Lamps".

Oh, and... Ambalamps Epilogue.

Beauty. Absolutely beautiful. And not only is it funny and great...it's not just that. Fuckin' great!

Rottweiler/Poodle dynamic. The smaller dog tries to assert dominance over the larger dog by barking loudly and tackling it repeatedly. The larger dog takes it all in stride. That is, until he grows annoyed and growls or bites back, putting the little bitch in his place--for good.

It applies to humans as well. Watching UFC matches, I can guess who is going to win from the get-go. When they're weighing them in and introducing them to the ring, the less nervous of the guys (stoic, less bouncy; doesn't try to psyche out his opponents) always wins the match.

Or how about Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven? Remember that shit? At the end when he walks into the bar like a bad motherfucker and tells everybody that they're gonna get shot and there is nothing they can do about it? He ain't making empty threats. Everybody else locks up or tries to scare him off but he keeps coming and smokes all dem fools like it ain't no thang?

Or how about the time I Rottweilered some cheese eating punk? I deployed some Machiavellian shit and won a football game. Me and the boys were losing and I was practically invisible the entire game. So I waited for their "Captain" to get close. I let him bump into me. I slid back a bit. Didn't fall. At that moment, I became "uninvisible" when I illegally grabbed the "alpha" douchebag of the opposing group and threw him violently to the ground. He went running off like a dog with his tail between his legs. With one swift stroke, I single-handedly disrupted their leadership hierarchy. We regained the points and won.

Sun Tzu said it best: "Every battle is won before it is ever fought." Intelligence and social awareness is key to knocking mo'fos da fuck out!

Ahahaha!!!! I'm still laughing my ass off over this video. I watched it three hours ago. I'm still laughing my ass off about it.

Modern 'Merica in a nutshell, I tell ya. Racism, reverse racism, violence, black humor, a black woman screaming LORDY! in the background, incessant vulgarity, emasculated illiterate thug making empty threats, attractive catatonic female (Read: Ideal), theft, hatred and ironic slogans revealing the true nature and underbelly of this nation (I AM A MOTHERFUCKER and HELP KEEP OUR CITIES CLEAN AND SAFE)*

Nonetheless, one thing that upsets me are all of the racist comments on the YouTube page. What year is this again? Can't we all agree that MOST people are inherently primitive and that few are an exception to the rule?

Here is the embedded video. Like McBot said...NSFW.

*NOTE: I forgot to include fanny packs.

If you get beat down by a 67-year-old man wearing a fannie pack, and you get the first shot while he is sitting down, then it's time to shave off the braids, get a pair of gold lamé hot pants, and start male hookin'.
