You mean to tell me the Oakland Raiders foolishly drafted and then overpaid a player who has character issues?
I'm shocked I tell ya, shocked.

Losing a $100 million and custody of your kids can put anyone in a foul mood. I think he'll continue to struggle until next season.

I think some NBA exec summed it up pretty well when he explained dealing with Lebron and his "posse". "We're dealing with 25 year old kids". And then he remarked the questions they were asking made it clear that they don't really know what they're doing. I figure he either returns to Cleveland with a pretty significant 2nd player, or he just goes to the highest bidder.

That was freakin' nuts. Across three days right? And then Isner had to play another match the next day too, which unsurprisingly he lost.

I've tried to pay attention but all I see are whiny little bitches who whine at every little "foul". And not even being a fan, I can safely say it has been some of the worst officiating I've ever seen in pro sports.

Yeah that tennis match lasted three days. It reminds me of a few years ago when an NCAA team, can't remember who, played a six overtime game in the tourney, and ended up losing the next game, of course.

Breaking news on Lebron (like we care), he's making his decision Thursday at 9 Eastern. He's planning a one-hour special with the sponsor money going to the Boys and Girls Club of America. How very nobly arrogant of him.

I agree with you 100% on the World Cup, though the only thing I care any about is who wins, and even then that's barely there.

Tired of this LeBron shit. Get it the fuck over with already! They're basically manufacturing news. I think it's pretty clear that the news people and sports junkies care more about where he goes than he does.

Congratulations to Spain, who won the World Cup 1-0.

And congratulations to the Miami Heat, who get some arrogant pricks who don't deserve $100 million.

All I really care about is Carlos Boozer going to the Bulls. So Utah can suck even more this year.

Breaking news: some old Yankee died the other day.

Too bad really. Not too many big owners around anymore. No more real characters, mostly just business men and corporations. Too bad.

As a lifelong Red Sox fan, I'm a little torn about the passing of Steinbrenner. Probably because of his dual effect on the game. He had some shady dealings, got suspended twice, became the role model for the outspoken owner, and generally bought his championships. But he did spend money to try and field the best team, something many baseball owners(I'm looking at you KC, Pittsburgh, Florida) were unwilling to do. He did get a new Yankee Stadium built and did a pretty damn good job with it. Dichotomy, I think is the word I'm looking for.

You got it.

This is the point. I don't like the Yankees, never have never will. But the man put money into it. Takes money to make money and all that jazz but really, he poured money into his product, and it won. So good for him. And he reinvested it. He put a good product on the field pretty consistently, you can't argue with that. Guys like us in Minnesota would LOVE to have a guy throwing money around like that. It's all envy and jealousy anyway, either way.

He did a damn good job.
