Missed the game by passing out early. Then again--last year was a bit more exciting. On the drive home midway through the game, 4 symmetrical constantly-shifting lights appeared in the sky and gave me quite a show. Cars were pulled off on the side taking pictures, "documenting." It was...peculiar. Oddly enough, I saw another one at a wedding I attended later on in the year. I'm not saying they were extraterrestrial. But bot UFO-incidents defied the laws of physics. First time seeing them in my life and in the same year.

I'm not making this up. Not exactly pertinent, after all we are discussing the most televised event in the world.

(By the way, David Letterman/Jay Leno ad rocked the house.)

I did a little blogging during the game. I thought I'd share it here.

So for some reason I'm watching the Super Bowl

Watched it like just about everyone else. Very solid good game. Not terribly exciting except for the interception which sealed the deal for the Saints. Well, that and of course the onside kick. What a ballsy call. As I think other commentators noted, it seemed like the Colts were playing not to lose and the Saints were playing to win. And why not, not many people expected them to win, especially given how it looked like the Colts were going to blow them out early.

Glad to see that my plan worked. Happy to see the talk of Manning being the best ever soundly defeated for at least a little while longer.

I didn't like the flow of the game. Seems there wasn't any strategy whatsoever on either side's offense. Throw the ball, throw it again, and then...throw it again. And the defenses just let em. Rush 3, drop 8, man-zone, whatever. I more preferred the college championship where the teams weren't one-dimensional.
